Cotton Eyelet Midi Dress

A white cotton poplin midi cut to drift — oversized through the body, with a square neck and elastic ruffle straps that pull just slightly across the shoulders. The hem is finished in scalloped eyelet, the kind of small embroidered detail that does most of the work without trying.
We see it in the south of France in August, over a tan, with flat leather sandals and a small straw bag. Or worn at home with bare feet, hair wet from the sea. The cut is generous enough to wear over a swimsuit; the cotton is light enough to actually want to.
